Meet Gary J. Wayne, DMD

Dr. Gary Wayne graduated from Newark Academy, Livingston, New Jersey in 1981.   He majored in Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis.  He went back to New Jersey and completed dental school at Fairleigh S. Dickinson College of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he received awards such as, Senior Clinical Fellowship in Prosthodontics, Dean’s List and Omikron Kappa Upsilon; National Dental Honor Society.

In 1990,he completed a General Dental Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Wayne completed his Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Lincoln Hospital and Mental Health Center, Bronx, New York.  He was Chief Resident in 1994 and started practicing in Boca Raton in 1995.

Dr. Wayne is an Adjunct  Clinical Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and chairs the program in Oral Surgery at the Atlantic Coast Research Clinic located at Palm Beach State College.

He belongs to many professional organizations including: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Florida Dental Association and Academy of Osseointegration. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Wayne practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including: Dental extractions; wisdom tooth removal; oral pathology; treatment of traumatic injuries of the mouth, face and jaws; single and multiple dental implant surgery; and grafting procedures for bone and gums.  Furthermore, all procedures can be done with local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation or intravenous general anesthesia.  Dr. Wayne is licensed to perform general anesthesia in his office, by the State of Florida.

He has lived in the Boca Raton area since 1994. He is married to Ellen, and they have three children.
